Shane William Thompson was born in Denver Colorado on July 21, 1980. He sadly left us on Sept 19, 2020.
He aspired to be a bit of a class comedian, and enjoyed making people laugh. Throughout his life, he would trade anything in the world to go fishing. Though he enjoyed entertaining, he had a big heart, and would give to those in need, almost to a fault. His generous heart and kind nature found him a flock of friends everywhere he went. After living in Montana for most of his youth, it would be in Colorado, and eventually Texas, that he would become a man, and truly find himself. There in Texas, Shane met the love of his life, Kristin, as well as his other love… The ocean… He excelled in retail management, and had just received a big promotion, and gotten married when tragedy struck in the form a swimming accident, leaving Shane paralyzed from the mid-chest down. After the accident, Shane and Kristin parted and Shane moved back to Montana. He re-focused his energy on a new life. Onward he fought through his paralysis to bring his presence and kind personality to everyone he met. Shane will certainly be missed by those who knew and loved him, he was a hero to many, especially his family. He leaves a hole that only he could fill and to those who never had the pleasure, are left wanting.
He is survived by his parents, Eric and Threase Thompson; his brothers and sisters, Thomas, Daniel, Samantha, Jackie, Jennifer Downey; his nieces and nephews, Raine, Mara, Atrus, Leandra, Landyn, Brody, Bridger, Blake, Jarek, Abriana.
We would like to thank Scott who helped Shane in many ways to keep rolling along.
Shane will be greatly missed by his burden and pain are gone and now he kneels before the throne. Ever present with his Jesus. Walk on S-Dawg, walk on.

You will be always remembered my friend. I remember the first time I ever met him in Anaconda when we were kids and all could do is laugh at all the guff he gave some one or me. He was always a good friend to have and put people in there place with reality. Wish I could have talked or seen him one more time but will always be remembered.

I haven’t been on FB for many months – but I thought about Shane today because I realized that I haven’t seen him post anything lately either…..what a shocking post to see.
Shane worked for me back in 2002. He was very funny, quirky, and boy-oh-boy, YES! He loved being the “devil’s advocate” in an effort to keep people’s minds turning, the conversation interesting – and at times heated. None the less, it was always in good fun. He had a servants heart to the core of his existence, and he was one of the most caring, loyal and sweetest guys that I have ever met. I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Shane. He was so full of life, he had a very bright future – and he had it all planned out before his accident. If everything truly happens for a reason, I guess the Good Lord had something bigger and better for Shane beyond this life on Earth. One thing is for sure though – I know that there must have been a beautiful reunion with his pups that he loved and missed so much! Godspeed Kiddo….rest easy sweet friend….
