Sally (Sarah) Marion Perino
Sally Perino passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Sally was born to the union of Frankie and Moses Reausaw on October 30, 1946 in Butte, MT. She attended local grade schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1964. She went on to complete Beauty School and begin a 50 year career as a hairdresser. Sally loved doing hair almost as much as she loved to talk. She was able to do a lot of both! She made many friends while doing what she loved. In addition to hairdressing, she was hired as what she referred to as a meter maid in 1991. She went on to be named Butte Silver Bow Parking director. She retired from that position in 2015. She continued to do hair until her illness made her stop.
Sally married Karl Griffin in 1969. They had one daughter, Tara, born in 1976. The couple later divorced. Sally was an amazing mother and worked hard to provide Tara with everything she needed.
Sally gained a new family when Tara married Tom Billteen in 2011. In 2016, the light of her life, Dempsi Sloane was born. Being a grandma was her most treasured role in life.
Sally was one of kind. Her way of talking to strangers like they were best friends will be forever missed. Her sense of style will never be forgotten. Life will be a little more quiet with her gone.
Sally is survived by her daughter and son in law, Tara and Tom Billteen; granddaughter, Dempsi Billteen; her bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kylee, Mike, Harper, and Haley Waldorf; Brady, Breanne, and baby Billteen; and Colten Billteen and Makayla McGivern.
At Sally’s request cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
We love you Gramma Sal.

I’m so sorry …you all know how much I loved Sally.
We had ties that spanned decades..I first met Sal when Tara was a toddler in 1978 attending The Community Day Care Center ..taking care of Tara during the day and oft times in the evenings while Sal did hair…I was always amazed by the amount of bath toys Tara had…we connected again when I became a Parking Enforcement Officer in 1998..her sense of style and gift of gab were truly indicative of any interaction with Sal.
And, Dempsi truly was the light of Sals eyes…this obituary truly encapsulates her. I loved Sal. I will miss her ..it was nice keeping in touch on Facebook. Tara…I’m sorry…your mom loved you so much, she was your greatest cheerleader. You were such a good daughter. And, Tom you were such an angel to her…Dempsi…I know how much you will miss your grama.. I am so sorry. Many prayers , hugs – and, love. Diane Lane Snyder

Tara and family, I’m so sad to hear of Sally’s passing. She did my hair for a long time and we had many interesting gab sessions during those times. I considered her a friend and I will miss her. I’m sorry that I lost touch with her once she left the hair business. Again, I’m sorry Tara.

Sally was a wonderful friend to my mom, she did her hair for years and my mom just loved her. When my mom was dying she just told Sally, my mom was very private and didn’t want anyone to know, but she loved Sally and when Sally sent her flowers to our house, my mom just cried. Thank you Sally for making my mom look beautiful and expecially your special friendship with her. May you rest in peace.

It was an honor to be included in Sally’s wide circle of Butte friends. Her deep love for Tara and Dempsi brought such joy to her life, and the stories she would tell were great to hear. Your sorrow is shared. She was a force of nature and she will be missed.
