Rudy was born July 6, 1979 in Butte, MT. He left us on July 15, 2019 in Butte, MT. Rudy is preceded in death by his father, William Ferre, and brother, Steve Ferre. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Nixon, children, Essynce Nixon, Deion Nixon, and Kaylee Willard, his mother, Edith Ferre, grandma, June Hibbs, brothers, Robert (Mallory) McCormick, Jason (Shelli) Nixon, and Dave Ferre, sisters, Michelle (Bill) Andrene and Julie (Mike) Odegard, nieces and nephews, Melissa Odegard, Jeremiah Odegard, Amy Largent, Andrea (Scot) Gramm, Shirley Ferre, Stephanie (Dustin) TeBeest, Steve Aquilar, Maille Nixon, Brynna Nixon, and Derian McCormick, and in-laws, Matt and Donna Willard.
Rudy was born premature at a mere 3lbs 7 oz, but that did not stop him from growing up to be a great man. He went to Longfellow, East, and Butte High. After high school he joined the military where he was stationed at Ft. Riley as an artilleryman 13B Cannon Crew member. He was so proud of his service and gained so many brothers. He came home to Butte and went through the lineman program. His love of sports made it easy to talk to anyone and his easy-going manner and beautiful heart gave him many friends. In 2007 he became a father to a little girl, Essynce; she changed his life and made him a better man. Rudy was quick witted with such a great sense of humor. He would bring a smile to your face instantaneously. He had a heart of gold and would be there in a moment for you. In 2014, he met his always and forever, Sherry, while working together at Walmart. They had an instant chemistry and were married in 2015. In 2017, they completed their family with a little boy which Rudy insisted on naming Deion after his favorite football player, Mr. Primetime. Sports were a huge part of him. Rudy was a diehard Patriots, Yankees, and Clippers fan.
Rudy touched the lives of everyone he met; you could not help but love him. He had such a magnetic personality and he will be missed greatly.
In lieu of flowers his family is asking that a donation be made in his memory to one of his favorite charities: Never Forget Your Own Inc. or to The Wounded Warrior Project or to 22 Until Valhalla.
A celebration of his life will be held from 12-4 p.m. on Friday, August 16th at Basin Creek Reservoir. Military Honors will begin at 1:00 p.m.
