Lynette Rae Nelson, Age 69, Butte MT
“I am who I am, I don’t know how to be anyone else.”
September 18,1954 – April 16, 2024
Lynette was born on September 18, 1954 in Butte, Montana to Victor and Katherine Nelson. She was the middle child between her older brother Verdell and younger sister Lori.
Always lively and entertaining, Lynette was the true meaning of vivacious. She was strong willed and always a force to be reckoned with. She made new friends everywhere she went and enjoyed time with old friends every chance she could.
Lynette was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Katherine Nelson, brother Verdell Nelson and sister and best friend Lori Harris.
Lynette is survived by her daughter, Kelli Harrington LaLonde; daughter, Kodi Harrington; grandchildren Ayden Harryman (first born and her pride and joy), Harper Harryman (Doodle Bug – Gramma Net met her match) and Quinn LaLonde (the precious baby of the family who can do no wrong). She is also survived by Rob Harrington, who remained an active part of her life long after they divorced, and her most favorite guys; Patrick LaLonde, Jeremy Harryman, PJ Harris, Christopher Harris and Logan Harris. Lynette also cherished the women that kept those men in line and her great nieces and nephews. Lynette had numerous close friends she acquired along her journey that held a special place in her soul.
Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Copper Ridge Health and Rehab Center for doing their best to make the last years of her life as easy as possible.
In lieu of flowers, financial contributions can be made to a Cancer organization of the donor’s choice in Lynette’s memory as the disease has affected many of those closest to her heart.
A celebration of Lynette’s life will be held from 2-5 P.M. Saturday, April 20th in the main bar of the McQueen Club in Butte, Montana.

I’m so sorry to hear about Lynette’s passing. I was blessed to call her a friend and we shared many good times together at Hennessy’s and in Bozeman. She definitely was a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed but her memory will go on and on..

It’s a rare and rather special thing to be able to get to know and to give care to care to both Lynette and her mama also in their last years of life and I so thank the family for that unique opportunity. oh but she definitely had some of her mama’s hilarious dry sense of humor and spunk for sure and it was incredibly endearing. Gosh but I’m missing her, just as I’ve missed her mama. They are now together in the afterlife and enjoying it and living it up to the fullest. I send my deepest condolences and prayers to the family
