Lee Nelissen was born on January 5, 1948 in Kerkrade, Holland to Henry and Johanna (Ann) Nelissen. He passed away in Butte of natural causes at the age of 72 on 1/7/2020.
Lee’s family immigrated to the United States in 1957 wherein started residing in Butte, Montana. Lee attended and completed all his schooling in Butte at Butte Central Schools.
Lee was very proud of being a citizen of the United States, wherein he served in the Army as a Helicopter Pilot. After returning home from Vietnam as a decorated veteran, he managed the Butte Safeway Produce department in the Butte warehouse. Starting in 1988 Lee started Dutchman’s Sales & Service which he later, after marrying his beloved wife, combined his business with hers, Cheryl-Lee’s Bridal Shop.
Lee was very adventurous in his younger years. He loved anything outdoors. He spent most of his free time camping, fishing, hunting, riding the 4-wheelers, and touring on his motorcycle until he became too ill to enjoy.
Lee enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 32 years Cheryl (Bray) Nelissen, children Trent Nelissen (Kris), Dori Roberts and Scott Stewart, his younger brother Frank Nelissen, his beloved grandchildren Theresa, Tara, Alex, Tiahna, Jeremy Nelissen; Kaylee & Kiara Roberts; Hope Stewart. In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.

My Uncle Lee was a loving and giving man. He will be missed greatly. RIP Uncle Lee… You are with God and free of any pain. I know you’ll be watching over all.
