Kathryn “Annie” Kingsbury McLeod passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 6:36 pm on April 4, 2024.
Annie was born March 3, 1945 in Butte, Montana to Felix LaBarge Kingsbury and Mary Opal Tameke. She was the ninth child of ten children. Annie grew up here in Butte and graduated from Butte High School. She waitressed in several different establishments where she met her husband, Richard “Dick” McLeod. They were married on January 16, 1982.
After they were married, Annie helped to tend bar at the local family business, Jim’s Bar. She did this for several years until her mother-in-law became ill and Annie became a care giver for her until her passing. Her life was then filled with caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and all the children that strayed through the open door.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dick McLeod; her children, Wes McLeod, Shawn McLeod, Steve Paskvan, Darci Parisher, Diane Kneale, and Tammy Richards; and a large multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Lady of the Rockies.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Annie at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 27th, at Jim’s Bar, 2720 Elm St in Butte, Montana.
