Dennis C. Quist passed away February 4th, 2024 in Butte after a short illness. He was born October 9th, 1948 in Livingston, Montana, the youngest son of Ervin C. and Florence B. Quist. He graduated from Park County High School, and the following September, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served mostly on the east coast and the Mediterranean. Following his discharge, he worked several jobs in Montana and North Dakota. He moved to Mount Vernon, Washington to be closer to his oldest brother Frank and became a long-haul truck driver. He drove from Arlington, Washington to Los Angeles, California every week for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest brother, Frank; sister-in-law, Anne-Marie; and a niece, Cheryl Quist.
He is survived by his brother, Curt (Jeanette) Quist of Butte; nephews, Davin (Annie) Quist, of Butte, Ian (Christine) Quist, of Butte, Alysha (Reuben) Vold, of Missoula, and Monica Quist of Mount Vernon, Washington.
Per his wishes, no services are planned. Internment will be in Livingston, Montana.
Memorials may be made to the Butte Furniture Bank, 2017 Harrison Avenue #232, Butte, Montana, or to a charity of your choice.
