Daniel Robert Norris, age 45, passed away on May 24th, 2024.
Daniel was born on November 28th, 1978 to Charles Norris and Jana Norris-Nielsen in Portland, Oregon, but grew up and spend most of his life in Butte, Montana.
Throughout his life, he had many things he loved to do, including going on drives and riding bikes, as well as outdoor activities like fishing and camping. He also liked to dig for crystals, go dumpster diving, and was known for adopting strays around town. He was involved the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Butte and AA. He had many friends and everyone in town always knew him.
He worked at several places, including The Hanging 5, in the Ranch Land of Butte, and at the Meat Block. He specialized in butchering, wild game, and slaughterhouse work.
Daniel is preceded in death by all of his grandparents; his mother, Jana Norris-Nielsen; and his brother, Bruce Barker.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Norris-Nielsen; his sons, Daniel Norris-Nielsen and Cody Norris-Nielsen; father, Charles Norris; step-father, Steve Nielsen; sisters, Sarah Gudroe, Melissa Butler, and Heather Mihailovich; brothers, Chase Norris and Billy Barker; granddaughter, Cecelia Norris-Nielsen, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 20th, at Clark Park, in the gazebo nearest Florence Ave. and the splash park, in Butte, Montana 59701. Please bring any special treats and foods you might like for the potluck.
