Zoltan Sandor Kakash “Z” age 60 passed away Tuesday October 25, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Santa Monica, California, the first child to Zoltan L Kakash and Johanna H Rogers, on May 13th, 1962. On Mother’s Day. Growing up he always had a love for music and the outdoors. Z learned to surf and spent most of his childhood with his brother Lazlo on the beach with their mother. After his family moved to Ohio he decided to stay and create a life of his own in California where he became a roadie for different bands and followed the music all the way to a home in Las Vegas for a couple of years before returning to California. He went on to be a bodyguard for Billy Idle for a while and worked with Lita ford as well. He decided to travel to different states on the west before deciding to call Butte Montana his home. Living in butte he started to manage an apartment building for a couple of years, when he walked into a gas station and met the love of his life, Georgette James. He spent what seemed to be forever trying to get Georgette. But he won her over slowly but surely with that charm. They went on to marry June 27th 1998 setting up home in butte mt, where they welcomed and created their own family, welcoming a daughter and a son to complete their family. But they were always the open arms to their children’s friends, which made him “Dad” to many. Z loved to be home with his family, working as a flagger he wasn’t able to be home much when the kids were younger, so he switched career paths, working for different tire shops until he found the career at the Hampton that aloud him home with his family until 2018 when he was no longer able to work. Z had a love for fishing. You could often find him with his pole in a creek and a smile on his face. He spent his free time doing the things he loved with his “kids” and the ones closest to him. Everyone knew Z for his food, you always wanted to be at his house when it was dinner time. You left with a full belly and an even fuller heart. He spent his last days fishing with his son and extra kids just trying to enjoy what life had left to offer, he also spent a lot of time home and doing things with his wife. Making each moment with her and their children count.
Zoltan is proceeded in death by his mother Johanna and his father Zoltan, his father-in-law James Martin, along with his grandparents and many other loved ones. He is survived by his wife Georgette Kakash, daughter Aislyn Kakash (Mark), son Alex Kakash (Raychel), daughter Mariah Michaud, brother Lazlo Kakash (Will), sister Annalisa Ventola (Christopher), mother-in-law Peggy Martin, his step-father Mark Rogers, and two beautiful grandbabies. I knew Zolti and his father many years ago, in Los Angeles. Have fond memories of a kind, caring, fun person. He was very helpful to my family whenever they came to visit from Canada. When I came back to Canada we all lost touch. Sorry to hear of his passing. He and his Dad will always be remembered fondly.
