William “Bill” Harvey Clark was born November 2, 1944, and adopted into the loving home of William G. Catherine (Harvey) Clark and their two daughters, Delores and Darlene.
His walk through life ended September 28, 2023, but was a very productive life. He married Diana Sullivan on August 29, 1964, and welcomed his daughters Cathy in 1965 and Christie in 1969.
He attended McKinley School and Butte High School, graduating in 1962. His work ethic started while pumping gas at Olson’s Gas Station, delivering for McKees printing, the Columbia Gardens, and a machinist at Browns Auto. He continued his automotive career with a certification from Lincoln Mercury, Ford, Cadillac, and Chevrolet.
He attended Bear Wheel Alignment School in Rock Island, Il. And came home to Butte to open Western Wheel Service in 1970. He served Butte and the surrounding community with his expertise in wheel alignment, brake service, and general automotive repair until 2007 when his health forced his retirement. He then went on to remodel the Western Wheel Building with the help of his brother, Bill Carelli and opened the Wild Bills Cabin Casino. With the sale the casino in 2012, he retired.
His wife Diana worked with him and by his side for the 59 years of this marriage.
They built their beloved cabin in Polaris, Montana, and spent as much time as possible enjoying the beautiful area. He loved hunting, fishing, and maintaining his life and family at the cabin. Bill dearly cared for his beloved dogs as well.
He leaves behind his wonderful friends who helped him during his failing health, especially Terry O, Tyrod, Little Bill, John Anderson, and everyone in the valley. His special thanks goes to Janice Munis, and Steve Kambich, Bill’s loving caregivers.
He survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Cathy (Kelly) Maloney; their daughter, Samantha (Brodie) Hackman; great grandchildren, Audrey, Cy and Vivian; his daughter, Christie Fuller; her daughter, Lexie (Lauren) Kambich Anderson; sister, Delores (Jerry) Brothers; brother in law, Dee (Jean) Sullivan; sister-in-laws, Ruth (Art) Nording, and Lorrie (Gary) Ness; brother-in-law, Frank Olenick; biological sister, Brenda (Gerald) Schutz; biological brother, Bill (Joan) Carelli; nieces and nephews; and many more who he had the privilege of meeting.

My love & prayers to his beautiful wife Diana. Thank you for your friendship Bill, and letting me work for you at Wild Bill’s Casino. Those years were the greatest years , and I made wonderful memories with you & Diana. You were the best tire guy around this whole state and always told the truth to people even if you never made a dime from it. I will cherish the memories I have of you and hold them close to my heart. Please watch over Diana & Bebe ( the dog) she misses you too. I know your reunited once again with all your loyal 4 legged companions and they are happy to be with you. I also want to thank Steve Kambich for being Diana’s rock and helping her. Diann & girls
I ‘m sorry for your loss. Bill & Diann were classmates. All the way back to Jr. High and Butte High – Class of 1962. I was the Hunter Safety Instructor for the girls many years ago. I taught many future hunters, but the girls stand out in my memory as the best. Bill & I used to hunt Blue Grouse in the same area of the Highlands.
Western Whell did all my wheel balancing and front end alignment.
My thought are with you in this time of loss.
