Bill Miller passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at St. James Hospital after an accident at his home on June 30, 2022 at the age of 80. Bill was born in Ramsay, Michigan to Shirley (Harris) Leppanen and Douglas Miller. Bill married Sharon Moody on November 29, 1960. They had one daughter, Vicki. Bill worked at Anaconda Company and retired from Montana Resources. Bill loved doing mechanical work in the privacy of his own garage. He was working on several projects in his garage. He loved spending summers at the H&C Campgound/Hauser Lake. He loved fishing, especially trolling with his wife, Sharon. He loved watching his grandson, Cody race the HCMA motocross in Montana and several races in Idaho. He wanted to watch Huntley compete in dance and watch Dayton race motocross and play hockey. He wasn’t able to due to his back pain. Huntley did so well with her competitions and won awards for tap, hip hop and jazz. Dayton won 2nd and 4th place trophies on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Dayton looked up in the sky and said his papa was watching him. Those trophies and awards are for you Big Papa. Most of all, Bill loved to argue with Joe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patsy and Karen; in-laws, Harley and Pauline Moody, Linda Connors. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter Vicki (Joe) Stevenson; grandson, Cody (Cheyenne) Stevenson; great granddaughter, Huntley; great grandson, Dayton; brother, Jack, sisters; Prudy, Sharon Ann, Vickie, Darlene, and Sandee; sister-in-laws, Barbara and Diana; his dog, Sassy, he adopted when his sister Karen passed away. Vicki and Joe’s macaw, Sadee. He loved Sadee and was looking forward to her spending a week with him. Cremation has taken place.

Dear Sharon, Vickie and family. We are so sorry to learn of Bill’s passing. He was a wonderful neighbor for us at the lake for so many years. No matter what we needed help with, Bill was there. He possessed the knowledge and tools needed for any job. He was quite a comical fellow; we shared many laughs with him. We can still picture him riding through camp on his four-wheeler or side by side, visiting with folks along the way. Once again, “Bill on the Hill” and Sharon were great neighbors. We pray to God to grant strength for all of you as you grieve his loss. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Peace to all of you, Cathy and Ernie Frey
