In Memory Of

Trey Michael Kopp, age 23, of Butte, Montana

Trey Michael Kopp was born on October 17, 1999 at 2 lbs 13oz. He came into this world as a fighter and will be forever remembered for that fire. Sadly, we will never understand why the fire was extinguished as he left this Earth on January 9, 2023.

Trey was raised by his beloved “Nanie” (Roberta Roeber), who proceeded him in death, and by “Pa” (Frank Beavis). Early on in life Trey became anything and everything he put his mind to: a builder, a heavy machine operator, a mechanic, a hunter, an outdoorsman, a firework specialist – the list goes on. His early days were filled with everyday shenanigans with his cousins where they built bike courses, lit fireworks, and even managed a construction site at Nanie’s house. His imagination was nothing short of extraordinary. As he grew up his interests always remained dirt driven as he explored his passion for the outdoors as well as his passion for working on trucks.

Although Trey was not the most vocal or the most outgoing, he was the most caring, gentle, kind, loving person that so many grew to cherish. He loved his family and friends, who, to him, were no different than family. His fun spirit and laugh were so vibrant and contagious that many were drawn to it. Some of his favorite moments were spent with family and friends. He had many blessed years spent with his friends, Brady Lough, Hailey Redfern, and Austin Ellison. Trey spent almost every day with his girlfriend, Mindee Bahr, and her sister, Megan Bahr.

Trey is survived by “Pa”, Jorjean Schaefer (mother), Ron Kopp (father), Kylie Green Krause (sister), Taylor and Kyzer Kopp (brothers), Grandma Linda Chase, Tommi Schaefer (aunt), Trevon Schaefer (cousin), Kyler Yerkich (cousin), Melissa and Bill Martinich (aunt/uncle), Michayla and Matthew Martinich (cousins), Randy Roeber (cousin), Rich and Nola Arvish (family), as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Trey-Man will be forever missed by so many in this world but it brings us all peace knowing that all his pain has been lifted and knowing he is sitting in the Lord’s gazebo with Nanie and Sundance watching all of us from above.

A celebration of Trey’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Star Lanes, 4601 Harrison Ave. in Butte. Memorials in honor of Trey are suggested to Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter, 699 Centennial Ave., Butte, Montana 59701, or to the Jacob Wheeler Foundation online at http://www.jacobwheelerfoundation.com.

We knew Robbie & Trey for many years. We met one day in conversation over my golden retrievers.
We became fast friends,as she would stop by our house on her way to & fro ( they lived just up the hill from us). I learned that Trey,& my son Jacob shared a challenge in life concerning their health,& this issue,& our Golden retrievers, were often part of the conversations we shared.
Shortly after we became friends,we gifted Trey a puppy named *Sundance*,his beloved golden. We loved hearing the many stories,& getting updates,& hearing how much they loved each other. They became inseparable.
When Sundance went missing,we,(along with so many others)spent hours combing uptown Butte..(all of Butte) looking for her. When she wasn’t found, our hearts broke for them.
It’s a wonderful thought, that they have found each other,in a place where there is no pain.
Run free with your Nanie,& beloved Sundance Trey. We’ll see you later.

Back in 2013 me and Trey met online playing Xbox. Over the last 10 or so years we basically grew up with each other, over a thousand miles away. Absolutely heart broken we never got to meet up in person. Rest Easy Zombie Eraser12. Forever in our hearts ❤️ 🙏
