Timothy (Tim) D. O’Hern 75
Tim was born in Wallace, ID on January 30, 1949 to Pat and Dorothy O’Hern. His brother always told him that he was Idahoan and not a Montana native. Tim considered himself a westside kid even after the family moved to the flats in the early 60’s. He was a graduate of Butte High School and spent 18-months at the auto mechanics technical college in Spokane Washington. Unfortunately, he did not graduate as the Army wanted his skills. He always wondered why, because after basic training he was relegated to driving trucks.
His passion from an early age was anything mechanical. His love of tinkering came from Grandpa Bert and Grandma Ella. That tinkering led to fast hot rods. His 55 Chevy with a souped-up Pontiac V8 was legendary on the streets of Spokane in the late 60’s as most of the police and sheriff officers around Spokane at that time would attest.
Though Tim never married, he was a huge part of his nieces’ and nephew’s lives. He always had good advice and a funny story to tell, usually something from his life that became a life lesson (do as I saw not as I have done). He loved his family and friends. If you were one of his friends you know how giving he was. He bragged about his nieces and nephew and was so proud of their accomplishments. Later he became Great Uncle Tim to JoLynn’s 3-girls. He got a big kick out of that.
In his final days Tim had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He found great comfort in his family but he was most comforted by knowing he would have eternal life with Jesus Christ.
Tim is preceded in death by his Grandparents, mother- Dorothy O’Hern, father- Pat O’Hern, uncles- Mike Onstott, Jerry Onstott, and Tom Onstott. He is survived by his Aunts Rita, Dorothy and Pat Onstott, brother- Gary (Christine) O’Hern, nieces- JoLynn (Patrick) Browning, Addison Hansen, nephew- Ryan (Alycia) O’Hern, and great nieces- Delaney, Briley, and Ryann Browning.
He is already greatly missed and forever loved.

I am so missing him. He turned out to be a wonderful friend. He impacted my life with his smile and his humor. I am missing his stories of butte and his antics.
He is running with the angels and although he is no longer here I know that now he is at peace.
