Thomas Louis Helm Sr. age 83 passed away on August 8, 2023, in Butte, Montana.
He was born on November 27, 1939, in Butte, to Helen Marie (McGarry) Helm and Louis Edward Helm.
During his life he worked in construction, as a cement finisher, at the Missile Silos in New Mexico, at Parsons Construction in Butte at the Weed Concentrator, and at the Colombia Falls Aluminum Plant. He also worked as a mechanic and landscaper while living in California.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and prospecting for gold.
He married Gloria Stratton in 1961. They later divorced, and three sons were born of this marriage; Thomas Louis Jr. of Havre, Edward Robert of Butte and Timothy Jay of Townsend. Also, a son Terry Helm in Arkansas, with Emma. There are ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and two on the way.
