In Memory Of

Thelma (Rusty) Stromseth, Age 69, of Butte, Montana

March 25, 1951 – June 21, 2020

Thelma (or Rusty, as she liked to be called) Stromseth entered eternal rest on June 21, 2020, at the Copper Ridge Health and Rehab Center after a long illness. She was born March 25, 1951, in Dora, Alabama, to Francis and Albert Rainey. She had twins in 1968, a boy and a girl, Vince and Vanessa of Arizona, and had a daughter in 1970, Athea of Oklahoma. She married Bert Stromseth on September 13. She loved and cared about her family always. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She enjoyed playing Keno machines and often won big.

She is survived by her husband and children; her brother, BoBo Rainey, of Washington; her stepdaughter, Shaundel (Adam) Zahn; her two grandchildren, Anthoney (Chris) and Ashleigh Zahn; her four great grandchildren, Paxton Zahn, Cambia and Faith Zahn, and Graisyn Zahn; her step-great grandson, Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Margaret, of Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Rusty are suggested to Safe Space, St. James Hardship Fund, or St. Jude’s or Shriner Hospital.
