Sonya Marie Battermann, loving daughter, sister, mother, auntie and friend went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 27th, 2022.
Sonya was born May 15th, 1976, to Paul Raphael Battermann and Elizabeth Ann Kasun. She attended Butte Public Schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1994. Sonya was very athletic and participated in many sports, but her true passion was music and riding motorcycles. She was a strong independent woman who had a magnetic personality. She wore a suit of many colors of which brought her the greatest joy in life, her children.
Sonya is preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and numerous other family members.
She is survived by her son, Rueso Moon, daughter, Raya sunshine, mother Liz “Sissy” Spolar, stepfather, Eugene Spolar, sisters, Jennifer Battermann and Rachael Battermann (Tom), brother, Joshua Battermann, nephews, Tyestick and Bubba and nieces, Pookie and MeMe, as well as many other loved ones.
She enjoyed ripping her Seafoam Green Harley down the highway, carrying a tune wherever she went and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 16th at the Copper King Hotel in the Ballroom, 4655 Harrison Ave in Butte. A celebration will follow in the ballroom. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Sonya are suggested to a memorial fund for Sonya’s children at First Citizen’s Bank of Butte, 3220 Harrison Ave., Butte, MT 59701 (Checks made payable to Sonya Battermann Memorial Fund).

I am devastated to loose my cousin 💔 I know that we live far apart and that I never got to know her as a grown woman, but I did get to know her as a child…that’s the memories I will hold dearly in my heart!
