Dear Eddy & Family,
Sorry I was unable to make it over from Anaconda for your mom’s service, but the weather here was not conducive to driving over.
Your parents were neighbors of ours growing up in Opportunity. And I actually babysat you as a baby a couple of times before they moved to Helena.
Your mom was a wonderful person, very compassionate and caring. And she was a very talented musician. I never took formal piano lessons from her, but she helped me a lot in my practicing. I have many fond memories of her. After she moved to Butte, I ran into her at the Subaru Service Center one day and she talked with pride about you and the fact that you had just bought her a new Subaru.
Again, sorry I couldn’t be at the service, but know that I’m thinking of you. Hopefully it was well attended…I know she had many good friends in Butte.
My sincere condolences,
Lillian (Rice) Haffey
