Sandy Rooney, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt received her angel wings unexpectedly on November 8, 2021 at her home with her loved ones.
Sandy was born October 25,1951 to Barney and Edna Maki in Butte MT. She attended Webster Elementary and graduated Butte High School.
She met the love of her life Larry Rooney and they married on January 29, 1972. They had two beautiful daughters Carrie and Tammy. Sandy worked as a Nurses Aide most of her years at St James Hospital. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society.
Sandy enjoyed camping every summer up at the Big Hole River at The Sportsman Campground. Loved taking weekend rides in the mountains looking for deer and elk, always made sure to know how many they saw so she could come home and tell the girls. She enjoyed a good fishing day and got so excited when she got to reel one in. You could always find her in her recliner on her laptop with her pepsi playing on her farms on Country Farm, couldnโt let them crops die! Her pride and joy were her 2 dogs, Trixie and Sissy. She treated them like they were her children. She always looked forward to her summer vacations with her husband, daughter Carrie and Tim. She even got to go see the ocean. She was so excited to finally going to be a great grandma in February and we know she will be watching down from heaven with a great big smile on her face.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Barney and Edna Maki, her father in law Jack Rooney, sisters Sharon Baldwin, Marlene Johnson and her brother Barney Maki.
She is survived by her husband Larry Rooney, her very special mother in law Clelia Rooney, daughters Carrie Nazer Williams (Tim) Tammy Holm, brother Dave Maki (Pat) and sisters Jane Lacey (Tim) Ginger Weinheimer (Tom) grandchildren Jared Nazer (Morgan) Jaylene Holm and Tierra Holm. Also a great granddaughter on the way, AmberLee Faye. Sister in laws Candy Kaldor (Woody) Bernie Tragidga (Everett) Lindy Weeks (Dave) Barbie Weyer (Mark) Priscilla Luukkonen (Dean) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandys wishes were to be cremated and no services to take place. She just wanted to be home with her family.
We will love and miss you forever and life will not be the same without you. We love you! Fly high you beautiful angel, until we meet again.
I hope your dancing in the sky

Though I only knew Sandy through Facebook I got a very good idea of the sort of woman she was. She offered insight at times with her comments on my page and, of course, her daughters and grandchildren were much the focus of her attention. With Larry by her side and she by his they demonstrated great love, strength and a beautiful sense of what family meant to all. May you rest in joyful peace Sandy. I hope to meet you in person one day in Heaven. Jennyโค๏ธ
