Rosanna Marie (referred to Rose or Rosie by family and friends) Moralez departed this world peacefully on November 1, 2024 with her only daughter, Aubrey Frances Webb by her side. Rose crossed over following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Butte, Montana to the late Arturo & Frances (Shinn) Moralez on October 17, 1952.
Rose had a deep love for books and learning. She graduated from Butte High in 1970 and shortly afterward enlisted in the US Army for a four year term. She was stationed at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco where she earned her LPN nursing license, a Medal for Good Conduct, several Army service and professional development ribbons, and a M-16 Rifle Marksmanship Badge. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army, Rose earned a bachelor’s degree in Osha Engineering from Montana Tech. She signed up for a 2nd tour with the US Army and was stationed in Germany.
After earning a second honorable discharge from the Army, Rose moved to Anderson, SC where she raised her daughter Aubrey Frances and worked at Ellenburg Nursing Center for over 25 years. During this time, she received an Associate Degree in Health & Science for her RN license at Tri-County Technical College graduating with High Honors and a member of Alpha Zeta Beta. She continued her education at Colorado Technical University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Nursing graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2016. Before falling ill, she was working on her Master’s Degree.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Frances Webb; her sisters, Patricia “Tino” Ramirez, Ramona (Angelo) Juarez, Carmen (Ken) McGivern, Rita (Art) Gonzalez, Frances “Mary” Moralez and Julia Moralez; her brothers, Art Moralez, Eddie Moralez, and Matthew (Kathy) Moralez; and numerous amount of nieces and nephews that treasured her genuine kindness and commitment to connecting with them. She is accompanied on the other side by her parents, Arturo and Frances (Shinn) Moralez; her brothers, Dan Moralez, Bob (Maureen Graham, soulmate) Moralez and Larry Moralez.
Our family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Marwan Massouh and the dedicated staff at the Butte Oncology Clinic. We are truly grateful for the care and support Rose received while in your care.
Family and friends are invited to attend Rosie’s “Celebration of Life” at the McQueen Athletic Club (3250 Helca St. Butte) on November 14, 2024 at 2pm.
