I first met Ron and his wonderful horse Joshua on the hunt field. They took great care of me and my skittish horse Derry. He and Judy have continued to be steadfast welcoming and encouraging friends to Lee and I. Sincerely, Carol Hodsdon

I met Ron years ago in the Wentworth hunt. At that time he had a lovely thoroughbred horse. Bronwood say Jean, just follow me and you can jump this and I did. Many years later he got this huge horse name Joshua. I could never understand why he needed such a huge horse as wrong wasn’t any taller than I was. But Joshua turn out to be awesome and Ron dearly loved him. We cleared trails together, made some jumps and just had many laughs together as we watched The Hunt grow in popularity. He was truly a gentleman, a excellent rider and a wonderful husband. I shall never forget Ron.

I too met Ron with the Wentworth Hunt Club. New to hunting and riding a 3 year old Fresian cross, Ron had us follow him and Joshua and instructed me to “crash into them” if I couldn’t stop. He and Joshua were such a great influence on my and Chandrakis hunt days and I’ll never forget him. Ride free Ron. Hugs to you Judy and Joshua.

Another Wentworth Hunt Club member. He also taught me about fox hunting with my team mate Court House. He said follow me and you won’t get past Joshua! Ron would call him the spit fire pony. Lots of laughs and fond memories. And Judy with her bagpipes for the blessing of the hounds, making it such a special ceremony. A gentleman, husband, father, grandfather and friend. You will truly be missed Ron….. ❤️
