Robert Colins Nieto passed away peacefully on June 11, 2020, at St. James Hospital in Butte, Montana, after a long time of worsening health. He was born on November 13, 1967, in Redding, California///Red Bluff, California. He grew up in Santa Rosa, California, where he married Cyndy Lynn Koster. Robert would have given you the shirt off his back. He and his ex-wife, Cindy, were committed to church and their beliefs, naming both children to reflect such. Robert named his son Elijah Gabriel Nieto, his first name after the prophet Elijah and his middle name after the angel Gabriel. Robert really enjoyed watching baseball; his favorite team was the New York Yankees. The family watched them in Oakland, California, many years ago. He enjoyed his blues music. He loved riding trains to get to where he needed to go. His nickname was “Sour Mash.” He loved anything about trains! He especially loved his son Elijah and would have given the world to have been more involved in his life if it were possible. The Lord was in his heart and soul and he kept his special relationship with God through scripture in his Bible.
He is survived by his ex-wife Cindy L. Koster; his children Elijah G. Nieto and Faith L. Koster; his grandchild Kooper Martin; and his many brothers from the Railway R.C. and Ed and others.
