Raymond Kroll was received into the Lord’s arms on Friday, July 8, 2022. Both Richard and Mercedes Kroll were there by his side as he took his last breath.
Ray was born September 14, 1938 in Harvey, North Dakota to Reinhold and Helen (Patizer) Kroll. Ray fell in love and married Madeline Lujan in 1958. They were a match made in heaven and made the best team. Ray and Mel were happily married 62 years and were always there for each other. Ray loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and most of all his drives around Georgetown Lake. He loved to stop and chat with the fisherman when he wasn’t the one fishing.
Ray was also known for his heart of generosity. He found so much joy in loading up on all the sweet treats at The Sweet Palace in Philipsburg, MT and bring them to all the local men and woman that serviced our community. He was known as the candy man at the local Anaconda hospital and doctor offices. If any of his family members grew ill or had to stay in the hospital due to surgery, he made sure to send extra treats to the facilities. You could always find him making donations to the local food bank as well.
Ray’s greatest joy and love was for his grandkids and great grandkids. Even on his most tiring days of life, when they entered his presence, his smile stretched from ear to ear. It was as if his smile lit up the entire room. One could feel the atmosphere shift with so much joy, as he radiated with such happiness. Hello little man, will forever echo in our hearts as this is how he would address his great grandkids, which are all boys. His entire countenance shifted in a moment when seeing them and you would have never been able to tell he wasn’t feeling well. His laugh is unforgettable and just reminiscing on it will make anyone smile.
You could always count on Ray if you needed something fixed or if you perhaps didn’t have the right tool to get the job done. He was always there to lend a helping hand, a tool or to teach you the proper, most efficient way to fix something. He was brilliant, creative, and so full of wisdom. Anyone that was close to him would be foolish to not reap from all the knowledge and wisdom he stored up through the various tests and trials of life.
Much grief lingers due to Ray’s absence, simply because he is so deeply loved and greatly missed. However, there are treasured memories that line the hearts of many that nobody can take away. Ray’s family will continue forth his legacy that exudes his extravagant generosity, hard work ethic, love for the outdoors and his family. His family and friends celebrate the impactful life he lived here on earth and will forever cherish the memories they made together with Ray.
Ray is survived by his son Richard (Mercedes) Kroll, granddaughter Savanna (PJ) Frazier, Ashley (Jason) McElroy, and great grandchildren Deforest Rhinehart, Crit Frazier, Titan Frazier, and Raiden McElroy.
