In Memory Of

Nathan Daniel Cortez, Age 69, of Butte

December 10, 1952 – August 20, 2022

Nathan Daniel Cortez passed peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

He was very energetic as a child and enjoyed spending time with family. He was especially close to his brother and sister-in-law, James and Elsie. He enjoyed going to MVSDC and spending time with his friends there. He loved western movies and music. He loved going to the movies and he loved all the goodies that came with it. He was very vocal at times, good and otherwise. He was very caring and loving and was loved by many. He will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ricardo and Esther, sisters Sandy and Juanita, and brothers Glenn and Steven.

He is survived by his sister Gloria (Gliff), brothers James, Don, Rich, Roy (Sheri), and Dave, and several nephews and nieces. He was very much loved and will be missed.

Special thanks to Kerry who took care of him for several years.

In memory of him, please make donations to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for a plaque.

I remember Nathan, he indeed was a character in a good way. He would always tell me he was going to send me to work at McDonald’s. My mom worked at the “Mountain View Social Development Center” where she worked with him sometimes. He was a joy! the way my mom put it. He is one of “Gods special angels”, just like all the client’s down there are. He is now up in heaven having a good laugh with God. He is so loved there as he was here. I was shocked to see his obituary, he was a very loving and kind person in life. I am so sorry for your loss. Carey, thank you for taking such good care of him as you do all your people. I am sure that Nathan loved you; my mom said that she took such good care of the kid’s.
