I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs. Summers. When I was in the 7th grade at East Middle School I was honored to have Mrs. Summers as one of my teachers and mentor. I learned a lot that school year from Mrs. Summers because she would take time out of her time mornings before the school day would start and tutor me by helping me with my school work when I needed the extra help. Mrs. Summers was a wonderful teacher and I was blessed to have had her as a teacher. My condolences to her family.

I was fortunate to work on the same team as Nancy at East Middle School. She was the kind of teacher who knew how to care for her students, with them knowing she cared about them. Her sense of humor made me laugh every day. We enjoyed hearing her talk about her family, whom she adored very much. She is a friend I will always admire & remember with fondness. God bless you, Nancy!
