My condolences go out to Tim and all who loved Millard. He took great care of his family until illness set in and took him from those he loved. He was intelligent, loved to travel and was a gourmet cook. Rest in peace and join Linda in Heaven. I will always remember your kindness and hospitality. Paula

As another Barryville boy I am familiar with the Hulse family but knew Millard more by reputation due to an age difference. One more interesting fact is that he was one of a small group of Eldred grads to go on to play college baseball. I was pleased to read of his varied interests and accomplishments in life. Tim—I knew your grandparents and uncle pretty well. Your grandfather puzzled his way through the brand new technology of television and helped his neighbors participate in it as both a repairman and an entrepreneur who devised a local forerunner of cable tv. Your grandmother was a crack local reporter with a weekly column covering all the top Barryville social happenings, setting the stage for Dave to become well-respected reporter and photographer. That’s a little insight into the world your Dad grew up in. My condolences on your loss.
