Martha Ann Sweeney, age 79, of Butte, Montana, passed away peacefully at Saint James hospital on January 6, 2024, with her loving husband, Pat, her daughter, Tricia, and her Son in law Charlie, by her side. She knew that she was loved by all the family and friends that visited her.

Martha had a very fulfilling life. She was active in her faith and the church and devoted many years to the American Legion Auxiliary and helping veterans.
She leaves behind her soulmate of over 60 years, Pat, (Richard Patrick) Sweeney; their children and spouses, Richard and Samantha Sweeney, Patricia and Charles McKinney, and Martha’s firstborn, Dwayne Sweeney, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters, sisters in law, cousins and many more family and friends who loved her.
She is now pain free and joins her sisters, Patsy and Lourena, to dance on the streets of gold with their mom and dad.
The family would like to thank all of Pat’s sisters for sitting vigil with him by Martha’s side.

I will always remember the summer we traveled to Morro Bay to spend a weekend together with Mom, Dad, Uncle Pat and Aunt Martha and the cute little poodle they had at the time. The many family reunions and get togethers hold a special place in my heart and are fond memories. It was always a welcomed feeling being in her presence, Aunt Martha was gentle and kind and a real pleasure to be around, always with a smile on her face. Love you Aunt Martha, wish I could have seen you more in the recent years. Rest peacefully and tell Mom Hello in Heaven!

Martha was a great lady. I only got to know her late in life, but always knew she was a great Christian lady.
