My aunt Lorraine was always very special to me. I would play her 78 RPM records when I was a child. There was one song that always made me cry and she tried not to let me listen to it, thinking it reminded me of my estranged mother. I never told her that my crying wasn’t caused by sadness, but it was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. I think she knows now, being in the place where the creativity of such songs originate.
