Lee Franklin Lock 85 passed away peacefully at home July 30, 2022. He was born December 14, 1936 in Anaconda Montana to Michael Lock and Frances Elizabeth (Syphert). He was raised in Anaconda and Butte. Lee was successful at drag racing and car shows. He and his dad spent their spare time in the garage building cars. A wall of trophies was the reward. He was a member of the Lifters Hot Rod Club. He met the love of his life Beverly Ruth Norton at the Wells Fargo Coffee Shop in Virginia City. They were married July 13, 1959. They made their home in Butte, and had four children Cindy Lee, Michael Claude, Melinda Lee, and Michele Elizabeth. He worked almost 30 years for the Anaconda Company. Then he drilled water wells for O’Keefe Drilling. He was very proud of his work there and the many friends he made. Lee was the first one on the dance floor, gardening prize winning cabbage, and hosting open pit barbecues on his home made rotisserie. Drop-ins were always welcome. He followed boxing, football, baseball, and rodeos. He was a fixer and loved helping friends.
Lee was preceded in death by Beverly, their daughter Cindy, parents Mike and Frances, brother Tyrone, sister-in-law Edith, in-laws Claude and Ruth Norton, sister-in-law Barbara, and brother-in-law Clark Hansen, sister-in-law Adele Ketcher.
