Kathleen “Kathy” Ellen Rooney, Age 70, of Butte

Kathleen Ellen Wilson Mulholland Rooney Passed away on January 16th 2024. She had just turned 70 years old the day before of her passing. She had wanted a big party to celebrate her birthday. So with that in mind we plan on celebrating her life with, friends, family and loved ones on Saturday January 20, 2024 at the Silverbow Athletic Club at 3 pm.

Kathy was born January 15th 1954. She was the third sibling born to Jim and Cynthia Wilson. She was a “typical” Butte girl who enjoyed, fishing, hunting and camping. When she wasn’t enjoying the outdoors she was doing the only thing she liked more and that was spending time with all of the kids in the family. Everyone who loved Kathy has a memory of her with the kids she loved. Whether that be jumping on hotel beds and splashing in puddles. To be around her made you laugh. She made you feel like a kid again.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Jim and sister Joy and her husband John Mulholland Ron Rooney. She is survived by her children Cole and Hedy Mulholland of Granbury TX and Cori Mulholland of Butte MT, her grandkids Miranda and Josh Hettick, Michael Mulholland, Tanner Packer, Alexus Mulholland, Ethan Marshall, Bella Marshall and great grandkids Westley Hettick and Evaleigh Hettick. She is also survived by her brothers Dave and Gloria Wilson, Rick and Debbie Wilson, Greg and Janell Wilson, Willie Owens, Shane Wilson, and sister Margaret Owens. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy lived a full and happy life surrounded by love. She will be greatly missed.
