Karen K. Clark, 69, of Butte, MT, passed away on October 11, 2023, at a local care facility. Cremation has been entrusted to Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service of Bozeman.
Karen was born on June 30, 1954, in Salinas, CA to Robert and Geneva (Thompson) Rowe. The family soon moved to Reno, NV where Karen would be raised. It was Boulder, MT where Karen would meet and on December 17, 1983, marry Walter Clark. The two would spend the next 40 years together raising a family.
Karen, the consummate homemaker, loved to cook for her family and rescue dogs. She also enjoyed gardening, swimming, reading, and most importantly her faith.
She will be missed by many but especially her husband, Walter Clark; son, Daniel Clark; daughter, Krista Clark; sisters, Betty (Ruff), Barbara (West), Sharon (Widger), and Paula (Comer); brothers, Cliff Rowe, and Larry Rowe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Rowe; mother, Geneva Rowe; and brother, Bobby Rowe.
Karen and Walter opened their home to rescue animals over the years giving many dogs and cats a new life in a loving home. If you wish to make a donation, please donate to Walter or a local animal shelter.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held from 2 – 5 P.M. Saturday, September 21st at the Rocker Fire Hall, 1110 Grizzly Trail, Rocker, MT 59701. If you plan to attend, please RSVP at Karen Clark’s Celebration of Life Facebook Event. Family is encouraged to bring photos and memories of Karen to share. There will be a potluck, so please bring a favorite dish!
