Julie Marie Gagnon (Crncevich), born on January 30, 1956, in Philipsburg, MT, passed away on January 23, 2025, in Butte, MT. Julie was a beloved wife to her husband, Kevin, and a devoted mother to her two sons, Cory of Arizona and Andy of Hawaii. She is also survived by her brother, Billy, and sister, Coral, and numerous nieces and nephews. Julie was proceeded in death by her sister Debbie (Twisty) Sparr, and her parents Bill (The Greek) Crncevich and Beverly Polston.
Julie was known for her vibrant personality, often described as the life of the party. She had a passion for gambling, golfing, and traveling, with Maui holding a special place in her heart. Julie cherished her flower garden and found joy in taking care of her house plants. Her love for cheeseburgers and spaghetti was matched only by her affinity for music, particularly the works of Paul Simon, Jelly Roll, Jim Croce, and Chris Stapleton.
As a fine art consultant, Julie made a significant impact in her field, blending her artistic eye with her business acumen. A proud Christian, she lived by the motto, “Someone Loves You to the Moon and Back,” a guiding principle that reflected her caring nature and deep love for her family.
Julie will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the countless memories she created with loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will continue to resonate with everyone who knew her.
Celebration of Julie’s life will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday, February 2nd at The Butte Depot, 818 S. Arizona St., in Butte. A reception will follow at The Depot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Julie are suggested to R & R Pet Resort, 40 Sportsman Way, Butte, Montana, 59701.

This is so sad… Julie wore her ❤️ on her sleeve, and one of her gifts was her ability to live more in the present than most ever could. I will always remember her smile, charm, humor, laughter, energy, and the heartfelt passion she poured into everything she set her mind to.

Julie and Kevin were beloved leaders at Lahaina Galleries in Maui, SanFrancisco and Bend, Oregon for many years. They were loved by their fellow staff members as well as their many customers from all over the world. Julie was the life of the party type of person always on the go.
The Killett family and the Lahaina Galleries family mourns but has fond memories to cherish as it was great to have known her and to have spent many wonderful times together. We feel deeply for the family and wish them fond memories as they heal. . Aloha Julie

We fought in the gallery trenches doing Art shows in Bend. You better believe they were tough. Way tougher than you would expect. Julie’s strong command and Kevin’s steady calm were a great team. They both became our friends born out of respect at work. We enjoyed get togethers at their home and around town. We are so glad we visited Butte in 2023 to visit Julie and Kevin. I rely on that good visit and all the memories when feeling sad about Julie’s passing. I’m comforted knowing some of Julie’s strength is helping Kevin and her family deal with their loss.
Some will say “rest in peace.”. But for Julie, I say ” Rest in strength”.

I’m so deeply saddened to hear about Julie’s passing. She was such a bright light—full of energy, warmth, and wisdom. I’ll always cherish the wonderful memories we shared at the gallery, but most of all, I’ll hold close the deep, late-night conversations we had about life. She had such a thoughtful and insightful perspective, and her words always left a lasting impact.
And Kevin… the love and admiration he had for Julie was truly beautiful and undeniable. My heart goes out to him and the entire family during this difficult time. Wishing you all comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.
