Julie Marie Kennedy Alger, 62, passed away on October 14, 2024. She was born in Butte on November 11, 1961, to Joseph Francis Kennedy and Dorothy Jean Kennedy. Julie was a dedicated waitress at Ponderosa and Joker’s Wild, but found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandkids. She will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Services will be held from 4-6 pm Friday, October, 25, at the The Butte Depot, 818 S. Arizona Ave., Butte.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Jean Kennedy; brother, Dan Kennedy; and her life partner, Bill Leipheimer.
She is survived by her daughter, Krystal; son, Kasey; brothers, Mike (Traci) Kennedy and Bill Kennedy; Sisters, Tami (Rich) Long, and Cindy (Scott) Prindiville; grandchildren, Cara, Hailey, Bentlee, Sky, and Cory; Floyd Alger; Dan Sage; and and uncle Karen (Tom) Kurilich; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
