BUTTE: Joseph Daniel Joslin, 79, died Sunday, December 3. He was born July 3, 1944 in Butte to Milton Thomas Joslin and Clara Estelle (Price) Joslin. He attended schools in Darby, Anaconda and Butte, graduating from Butte HS in 1963.
He worked at the Anaconda Co. smelter and concentrator for a number of years before moving to the family farm on the West Fork River near Darby where he built a cabin and worked at sawmills and for the US Forest Service. He loved his family and the West Fork area. He also loved animals, especially bulldogs, of which he raised several.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Milton Joslin, and niece Tiffany Rose Zundel.
He is survived by his sisters, Jane and Connie Joslin, Butte; and Kay Joslin (Jerry Johnson), Darby; niece Misty Joslin-Finks; nephews Steve (Mitzi) Joslin, Leon (Tara) Westermark, Dan Panisko and Russell ( Julia) Zundel; grand nieces: Tabitha and Camille Zundel; Emma Watrous, Josie Joslin, Hayley, Jessica and Abbie Finks; and Clara Westermark; grand nephews, River Joslin, Evan Zundel, and Ed and Jack Panisko.
