John Paul was born August 1st, 1960, in Livingston, MT to Paul Junior and Eleanor Jean (Moore) Weber. He passed June 6, 2022, in Butte, MT due to complications from Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and Covid 19.
John was a quiet and reserved person who loved to be by himself. His family was most important to him. Born in Livingston but being raised on the family ranch in Wilsall, MT for his early years. Moving to Missoula as a toddler and being a resident of Missoula residing in the Franklin to Fort neighborhood until his graduation from Hellgate High School in 1980. He was a very proud Montanan with traditions instilled in him by his parents and grandparents. He was hardworking, dependable, and generous. After high school he joined the Army National Guard and transferred to the Marine Corps for a short time. The Marines was not his cup of tea and he left to live in Sidney, MT to work for a friend of his Rick Farrow. Together they cut and recycled steel for Pacific Recycling. Later in Sidney, John worked for the Holly Sugar factory as a security guard. He remained and worked in Sidney for many years until he decided to move to Butte to attend MT Tech. In Butte, John held several jobs including security guard and caretaker. In the mid 2000’s, he moved back to Missoula ultimately landing back at the family home to help take care of his mom after the passing of Paul Junior. During this time John delivered newspapers for the Missoulian to earn extra income. In 2010, after Eleanor passed, John went to work for Walmart as an overnight maintenance technician until his diabetes resulted in him getting low vision and Dementia. In late 2018, John retired and lived on his own until 2021, when an infection caused his dementia to become worse, and he could no longer live on his own. John was then place in a long-term care facility in Polson and was ultimately transferred to a memory care unit in Butte. Here he contracted Covid even though he was vaccinated and passed. This was a blessing in disguise as John would not have to play the long-drawn-out loss of memories. John will always be in our heart and never forgotten. He is now made whole again and living in Heaven.
John is survived by his brother Robert (Pam) Weber, sister Dawn (Larry) Stolle, nieces and nephews, Jeremiah (Ashli) Johnson, Rebecca (Brian) Brush, Alicia (Ryan Rusnock) Weber, Matt Weber, Jake (Stephenie) Stolle, and Teresa Stolle. God’s Lent Child
I’ll lend you for a little while
A child of mine, God said
For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or forty-two or three
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?
