Joanne Lofing (Schaefer) passed away peacefully at her home on November 1st, 2020. Joanne was born June 23rd, 1944, to August and Lila Schaefer. She worked at the Anaconda Community Hospital and many years at Anaconda’s Nursing Home where she was loved by all the staff and patients.
Joanne enjoyed outdoor adventures including hunting pronghorn antelope, deer, elk, and fishing with her family. She especially loved being with her children and grandchildren they brought amazing joy to her heart. She was the most caring, giving, loving person you’ll ever meet. She enjoyed church on Sundays at Hope Lutheran in Washoe Park.
She always had a great spirit and loved to laugh and a love for music with everyone.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Timothy Lofing, Sr.; son, Timothy Lofing, Jr.; sister, Barbra Morrison; Margie Schaefer Lewis; Stan Schaefer; and grandchildren, Skylar Lofing, Raine Lofing, Sienna Lofing, and Nazaree Lofing.
Joanne is preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Judy; brother, Dave; and daughter, Tina Lofing.
Joanne will be greatly missed by everyone. She has truly touched many lives.
A memorial service celebrating Joanne and Tina Lofing’s lives will be held in the summer of 2021.
