In Memory Of

James “Jim” Lambkin, Age 68, of Butte, Montana

December 8, 1955 – January 1, 2024

James “Jim” Lambkin passed away January 1, 2024, at his home in Butte, Montana.

Jim was born on December 8, 1955, in Helena, Montana to George and Bernice Lambkin. Jim was raised in Lincoln, Montana where he played little league and was on numerous softball teams.

Jim had a love for Montana’s great outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and especially prospecting.

Jim married and later divorced Chris Gehring. In 1998, Jim made his home in Butte, Montana where he began work for his sister and brother-in-law. It was in Butte where Jim met his lifelong companion, Diane LaBuff. The two of them spent twenty-five years together before Diane’s sudden passing in October 2023.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, George and Bernice Lambkin; and his loving partner, Diane LaBuff.

Jim also leaves behind Diane’s son Jess LaBuff (Marice) and her grandchildren, who all considered Jim their grandpa; grandson, Paxton LaBuff; granddaughters, Lanae and Jayden LaBuff and Allie LaBuff; and great-granddaughter, Karsyn LaBuff.

Jim is survived by his sister, Ethel Peterson; brother-in-law, Arny Brown, of Lincoln, Montana; Niece, Dawn Robison (Brian); and great nephew, Alex Fisher.
