It is with sad hearts that we are announcing the death of Jack Leroy White, who died August 25, 2023, in Butte, Montana. Jack was born to Sye and May White on June 24, 1934, in Butte, Montana.
Jack had 6 brothers all of who proceeded him in death. He married Ethelyn Hibbs, May 22, 1954, in Butte, Montana. Ethelyn and Jack later divorced. They had four boys, two who have predeceased him, Larky and Troy Scott. He then married, Kathy Crane, who is also sleeping in death.
Jack had many talents from fixing his old cars to creating just about anything from the nuts and bolts that he had laying around. He was an artist and would sell or trade his paintings for whatever he had his eye on at the time. Everyone who knew him understood that he could barter with the best of them.
Jack believed the Bibles promise of a paradise earth soon to come when all humans would live in peace and harmony and even the dead would rise to everlasting life. He spoke about this promise to most everyone he met. (Revelation 21:3-5)
He had an especially close friendship with Rich and Geri Rader who, for many years, stood by him in times of distress, even as he became older and needed much care and attention.
The family would also like to thank Jack, Jack’s son, for the care and loyal love he showed in taking care of our dad during the last few years as things became more difficult for him to manage. Jack, you have been a real God send and we thank you for your help in our absence – Proverbs 17:17. We also want to thank all those who have aided him in his walk to learn about the Bible and supported him in any way they could.
Survivors include his sons, Dennis (Jan) White and Jack (Amy) White, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
No services are scheduled. Memorials in honor of Jack are suggested to The Cody Foundation, PO Box 7361, Bozeman, MT 59771, or by visiting breathinisbelievin.org.
