Dear Uncle Pete,,
I will remember you always as being a warm and kind person most of the times being reserved with your words,, only speaking when you had kind words to say,, something I have learned slowly from you and my dad. I meet so many people in my travels that that portray their personalities in a guarded neutral way so as not to upset the norm. My Uncle Pete was solid in his foundation of who he was and really was unaffected by any outside influence. In other words he made his way on his terms and was rock solid in his ways. He lived life fully and made it count and believed wholeheartedly in his decisions.
I remember Uncle Pete coming over to our home in Pacifica California,, where he and my dad proceeded to have a fun wrestling match in our back yard literally tearing each other apart like a couple of wild cats. After that we had a nice dinner and the following day dropped off Uncle Pete at Fort Ord where he would be transferred to Viet Nam for the next few years.
I can only imagine what that must have been like for Uncle Pete. Rest In Peace my friend and Uncle and say hi to my mom & dad and all of our relatives with you.
