Glenn Jay James passed away at home in Butte, MT, on November 22, 2021. He was born in Anaconda, MT, to William and Betty (Donaldson) James on November 29, 1950. They later moved to Butte where he attended school. Glenn worked many jobs, the most recent being the Town Pump in Rocker. He married Betty McDermott. They divorced but remained friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Shea, Allen & Merlynn, Arthur, and Robert James; and nieces Lynn Miller and Jan McDougal.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Lisa (Lee) Denning and Tom (Summer) McDermott, and their families; sister-in-law, Katherine James; nephews and nieces, Allen, John (Missy), Weston (Paula), Betty, Jessie (Jamie), Tara (Bill), Artie, Mary, and Maggie; as well as many great nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is also remembered by special friends, Jasmine Ryan and the staff at the Rocker Town Pump.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorials in honor of Glenn are suggested to Shriners Transportation Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
