When you lose a father, you lose a friend and your first hero! It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beloved Frank. He passed away unexpectantly and far too soon of complications with diabetes on October 1, 2024.
Frank was born in Butte, Friday, March 13, 1964, to Joyce and Frank Grady. He came into the world all wide eyed and ready for adventure! He was curious and mischievous and wired for fun! Frank never missed a chance to try new things and then perfect his craft! He attended local schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1982. Frank enjoyed playing sports and was very competitive. He loved his baseball days, football and golf. He loved anything that went fast, and he put the pedal to the medal whether it was a car, truck, snowmobile, boat or a motorcycle! He was full speed ahead! Frank’s passion was being out in the beautiful outdoors of Montana. He loved 4 wheeling. He enjoyed his hunting trips with his Dad and then sharing that love of the sport with his boys. He loved the sun on his face and could be found in his boat on a nice day catching fish and conjuring his story about the Big One that got away! Frank never let the truth get in the way of a good story!
After graduation Frank joined the Navy and served our Country honorably on the USS Forrestal. He loved his travels overseas and was so thankful to have met so many wonderful brothers during his time of service. Upon discharge from the Navy Frank was reunited with his high school sweetheart Gwen Garrett. Together they brought our beautiful D’s into the world, Derek, Dylan and Daniel There wasn’t anything Frank would not do for his boys. He loved them unconditionally and was so proud to be their Dad and biggest fan! Always a Big Kid himself he made life fun for his boys. Frank was also blessed with a beautiful daughter, Nicole.
Frank loved watching football especially his Green Bay Packers!! He always cheered for the Grizzlies and anything Butte High Bulldogs. Frank loved listening to great music! He was a fantastic cook and was so happy to share his delicious food with family and friends. He was extremely proud of his Irish heritage. He inherited the Irish wit, gift of gab and stubbornness. Frank could be very charming and knew when to turn it on. He was proud to be a Butte Boy and loved his hometown! He always made everyone happy, some when he showed up and some when he left! Frank had a sweet smile and a kind heart. He loved having fun and telling stories and jokes and leaving you with a smile. We will miss all of this and so much more about him!
Frank was proceeded in death by his parents Joyce and Frank Grady, brother Bobby Pavlovich, Aunt and Uncles, Carol and Lew Brown, Mary Pat and George Puich, Tom Grady.
He was loved and will be forever missed by his children Derek, Dylan (Emily), Daniel Grady and Nicole Englund (Dave); Rylan Mulcahy, Fischer and Jack Englund). His sisters Colleen Grady Riley (Paul), Marcy Holverson (Steve), Julie Pavlovich and Kristi Adkins (Jim). Nieces and nephews Marissa Steele (Eric); Wyatt Queer, Colter and Hudson Steele, Jared Frisbee, Laurelle Martinez (Edgardo); Rafael and Weston (Bethany) Adkins, special cousin Brian Puich and the entire Puich, Grady, Vernos, Hanley and Pavlovich families and Gwen Garrett. We would like to acknowledge his true-blue friends whom he dearly loved, Randy Root, Lou Salmeri, Kevin Smith, Diane Petit, Lunk Lowney, the Steinhouse Crew, Guidoni family, Mick Ringsak and all of his Navy Brothers!
