In Memory Of

Floyd John Stewart Jr., Age 79, of Butte

August 8, 1945 – July 16, 2025

Jack Stewart, 79, passed away with his loving family by his side on July 16, 2025, in Butte, MT.  Jack was born on August 8, 1945, to Marjorie (Reardon) and Floyd Stewart and grew up in Butte, MT where he graduated from Butte High School and then began working as a plumber until his retirement.  Jack worked most of his time at the family plumbing business of Reardon Plumbing in Butte and then finished up his plumbing career for the State of Montana in Boulder, MT.  Jack married Sharon Ann Lawrence on September 9, 1967, and together they raised three children: Bobbie, John, and Eddy.

The many joys of his life were his family and especially his 5 grandchildren.  Jack is survived by his wife Sharon Stewart and children; Bobbie (Allen) Chatriand of Wenatchee, WA; John (Megan) Stewart of Great Falls, MT; Eddy (Heidi) Stewart of Butte, MT along with his grandchildren; Cole Stewart, Brityn Stewart, Jackson Chatriand, Kyler Stewart, and Gracie Chatriand.

Jack is also survived by his sister, Frances Holmes, brother-in-law Rob Ferris, sister-in-law Pam (Jim) Shires, stepsister Jackie (Jim) Smitham, stepbrother John (Paulette) Geach, stepsister Betty (Rich) Sieckman, and stepsister Lorrie (Dave) Haaglund and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack is proceeded in death by his father and mother, Floyd and Marjorie Stewart, stepmother Babs (Geach) Stewart, sister Ettasue Ferris, brother in-law Ed Holmes, father and mother in-law James and Ann Lawrence, and brother and sister-in-law Jim and Judy Lawrence.

We will miss having Jack in our lives and our hearts are broken but we remember the good times that we all shared.

Special thank you to the entire staff at Honeybee Hospice for taking such great care of Jack.

No services are planned, and donations can be made in honor of Jack to the Animal Shelter in Butte, MT or the Butte Food Bank.

Sharon & Family, I am so sorry to see of Jack’s passing. I have fond memories of working with him at Reardon Plumbing and learning the trade with him as a teacher. He always had a smile and I don’t ever recall hearing him have a negative word come out of his mouth. He will be missed but his memory will live on. You are in my thoughts at this time.

Dear Sharon, Bobbi, John, Eddy and Family,
Sorry to see the passing of Jack. I have memories of living next door on Travonia Street to the Stewart Family. I remember camping out in Wise River with the Stewart, Lawrence and Kerns families and Jack would give rides on his two Suzuki motorcycles to any kid that wanted one. May all your fond memories comfort you all in the days ahead.
