George Foley . Gene is a true Butte hero to anyone who was lucky enough to know him. He was a great teacher, coach , athletic director, co worker and friend. He was all about kids. I still remember the day he retired. East lost so much when he left. My prayers go out to his entire family. He touched generations.

Gene, to me was family a first cousin, he was always there even after we moved away from Butte. I can remember when we lived on Colorado and he would be gone “fishing” I always wanted to go but being younger I was left behind. Maybe in away he instilled the love of fishing I have. I will miss you, Gene Rest In Peace

Marge and Family,
We just returned from vacation last night and were so sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. Mom and Dad, Millie and Toy Laitinen really enjoyed going on the many trips with you. Just recently Marge, I found a newspaper clip of you and Gene and Mom and Dad sleeping in the Helsinki, Finland airport as a result of 9/11. Gene will be missed. Rest in peace.
