Donald P. (Don) Taylor

9/29/1955 – 7/2/2022

 

In the early morning hours of Saturday, July 2, 2022, Don passed away, surrounded by family.

 

Don was born on September 29, 1955, to Lawrence and Wilma (Saari) Taylor. Don attended local schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1975.

 

Don married Vickey Harvey at the Gold Hill Lutheran Church on July 26, 1975, and they remained married until Vickey passed away in 1995.

 

Don loved camping, fishing, gold panning, collection coins, and was a very skilled craftsman.

 

Don is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Paula and Josh Selensky, Tracy and Zach Chatriand, all of Butte, Becky Meeks of Richland, Washington, Gina and Todd Christman of Brandon, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly Taylor, Jordan and Sarah Selensky, Kaiden, Jayda and Gage Paul, MaeciLou and Zachariah Chatriand, all of Butte, Toby Meeks of Richland, Washington, Sean and Erin Christman of Brandon, Florida; great grandson, Kaysen Rae Cunningham of Butte; brother, Larry Taylor; sister, Buggs and Don Sundberg, all of Butte; and his very good friend, Charlene Hollahan.

 

Don is preceded in death by his wife, Vickey Taylor; parents; and granddaughter, Kristina LeeAnn Paul.

 

As per Don’s wishes, no services are planned. Don has been cremated.

    I knew Donny from my teens and from there grew into a wonderful relationship had a lot of wonderful memories ,,rides,fishing, and to much to say .he will always have a special place in my ❤️.

    I’ll always remember him as one of the great porch monkeys. Along side my dad laughing at us kids being kids. Whenever I think of my childhood he’ll be there

    I met Donny & Vickey and the girls in 1983 when I moved into 732 W Granite. He always seemed to be a happy man. My heart goes out to all three girls, Gina, Paula, & Tracy. So sad for your loss. Francie Reed
