Delores (Dee) Elaine Stevenson passed away at home on October 16, 2024 with her daughter Shawna at her side at the age of 90. She was born on June 15, 1934 in Bell Fourch, S. Dakota to Bill Perry & Isabelle Caras Fischer.
She married John (Jiggs) Stevenson on July 5, 1958 and raised four children. She dedicated many years of her life to serving the community as a waitress at the Top Deck, Lisa’s Lamplighter, and The Copper King. She was committed to serving others by volunteer work giving communion at the nursing homes.
A couple special memories from this summer that meant so much to Delores. The four kids put together a surprise 90th birthday party at the McQueen Club on June 15th. Bill and Tessi came from Tennessee to surprise her. It was packed with family and friends. Bill stayed for a month, he and Dee spent some quality time together. The 4th of July Dee had a family gathering. Of course, July 5th is Jiggs and Dees anniversary. Daughter in law, Tessi; and granddaughter, Marie; came from Tennessee for Dees grandson, Cody and Kasie’s wedding on July 6th. Delores has some amazing memories from this summer.
Her artistic contribution of painting the Blessed Mary in the parking lot of St. John’s Catholic Church was a piece she cherished. Joe was able to bring it to her home where she enjoyed it in her front yard for several months until her passing.
Dee loved holidays and cooking for everyone to gather at her home. Her love for Christmas was evident in the elaborate decorations she put inside & outside her home, always centered around her Christmas tree.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents; Husband, John Stevenson; Son-in-law, Gary Taylor; Niece, Debbie Bleken.
Dee is survived by daughters, Lonnie Taylor, Shawna Stevenson (George Strutzel); Sons, Bill (Tessi) Stevenson, Joe (Vicki) Stevenson; Sister, Vonnie Garrett; Grandchildren, Michelle (Jack) Arthur, Patience Taylor; Marie, Christopher & Jeremy Stevenson; Cody (Kasie) Stevenson; Noah (Bonnie) Coffman; 12 great grandkids, numerous nephews and nieces; fur baby, Molly.
