On November 1, 2019, Dan Muzzy Mazzola unexpectedly passed away at the age of 67. Dan was born and raised in Butte. He was the 3rd oldest of 8 children. Dan attended Butte schools. After graduating from high school, he served in the Air Force. After receiving an honorable discharge, Dan returned home to Butte. He worked for Gillman Construction from 1978 to 2004. He then went on to work for Conway Freight until 2016.
Dan was born on January 25, 1954 to Anthony and Lorraine Mazzola. He was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Elise and Theresa and his brother Jimmy. Along with grandparents as well as aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his brother Tony of Burbank, CA and 3 sisters Connie Petrino and husband Pat of Billings, MT, Michelle Mazzola of Butte, Mt, Kathy Fry and husband John of Vancouver, WA, great-aunt Marge Mogus of Butte, uncle John Mazzola of Butte, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed collecting Diecast cars, photography and throwing back cold ones at many local bars and saloons with his friends. There will be no service at this time, but there will be a gathering at Jim’s Bar on November 9th at 5pm. (No host bar) To raise one last glass to the cantankerous old man that everyone loved, Dan Muzzy Mazzola.
