Dan E. Kipp, 64, passed away suddenly the morning of February 16, 2024 after a brief illness. Dan was born to Eleanor and Ralph Kipp in Grand Forks, ND on October 4, 1959.
Dan attended school in Butte and graduated from Butte High. After graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1977 to 1981. Upon discharging from the Navy, he attended Montana Tech, tutoring in math while earning a degree in Petroleum Engineering.
As a young child, he worked with his father doing roofing. He was currently employed at Silver Bow Hearth and Home and was planning on retiring in March. Dan could do just about anything and would drop everything he was doing to help anyone who needed it.
Dan was a huge Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan and attended several races on the west and east coast. He enjoyed watching all sports, camping, and working in the yard.
Dan was married to Kim Sis Moody Para in 1997. They later divorced but remained friends until her passing in 2014. He then met Terri Newton Medina, and they were married on August 21st, 2010.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sis Para; and his mother-in-law, Derla Newton; and step father, Derius Fellows.
He is survived by his wife Terri; brother, Dave (Dorothy); sisters, Jewell Ann Kipp and Samantha Fellows Burns; stepchildren, Adam Para, Chris (Kayla) Medina, Shaun Medina, and Kayla Medina (Andrae Thompson); his beloved grandchildren, Paisley and Sophia Thomson; father-in-law, Terry Newton; brother-in-law, Dan Newton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and as per his wishes, no services are planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, as well as an entombment of his ashes at Mountain View Cemetery.
