Cheryl Ann Clausen Hickey was born January 16, 1953 in Codington County South Dakota to Edna Cowell and Harold Clausen. Cheryl left this world to start her journey free from pain with god on October 7th, 2021 after years of illness and pain.
Cheryl lived in Butte, MT with her sons Jason and Eric where she met and married her best friend and soul mate Michael Hickey in 1988.
Cheryl was well known for her love of people and looked right at home bartending at numerous bars and taverns around Butte especially her friendly face at the friendly tavern in Walkerville. Cheryl could put on a great party. Her Christmas parties and decorating was one you will never forget and everyone was always welcome. Her good time nature will be greatly missed and everyone that knew her will never forget her kind heart and contagious smile. Cheryl opened her home to many kids over the years and was thought of as a mom to many.
Cheryl had 9 lives and she used each one of them to live life to the best she could.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Michael Hickey, sons Jason Barrett, Eric (Erika) Hale 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Sisters Vickie Rosich, Kim (Dennis) Fry. Brothers: Steven (Colleen) Clausen, & Scott (Bonnie) Sheehan. Brothers and sister in laws Dan (Valerie) Hickey, Doug (Julie) Hickey, Jeanette (Wally) Salmonsen and numerous nieces and nephews. Special Lifelong friends Muriel and Mary Jo.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her mother Edna Cowell, Father Harold Clausen, Step- father Tom Sheehan, Brother in law Hal Rosich, Nephew K.C. Hill.
Our family invites you to please join us at The Silver Bow Athletic Club on October 15th, 2021 @ 4p.m. This will be a time for food, refreshments and memories.
