Celia “C” Lemm passed away on Thursday, 27 August, 2015, at the Community Hospital of Anaconda after a courageous battle with cancer.
“C” was born the second child of Charles and Luel la Hesselschwardt on October 14, 1938. She was raised in Butte, Montana, graduating from Girls Central High school in 1956.
She worked a short time for Montana Power Company until she married her soulmate Otto Lemm on the beautiful winter day of 29 December 1956. They shared together 58 years of marriage.
Upon getting married, they relocated to Port Townsend, Washington, where Ot was stationed in the Navy. When Ot was discharged they moved back home to Butte where they started their family, having two sons, Jerry and Tom. She was a doting stay-at-home “domestic engineer” and was involved in every activity of their young family’s lives.
“C” returned to the work force after the boys were in high school, working for Meadow Gold Dairy, spending 20 years as office manager in both Anaconda and Butte.
