I met Brian decades ago at the Crime lab. Upon our first meeting, we hit it off, and although much older than Brian, we became good friends.
Brain had not only one of the best senses of humor, but also facial expressions, that just made you laugh, when he started to laugh. I helped him catch a bobcat, and he had his son Wade with him. Brian was so proud of that day. The last time I spoke with Brian, he was looking for advice on how to proceed in rebuilding his Camaro, which he wanted to give to Wade. So many stories and adventures.
My deepest condolences goes out to Brian’s family and friends whom I never had a chance to meet, he was “one of a kinda” and had a heart of gold…. He won’t be forgotten…………..
I’m gonna miss you “One Sock”

Brian was a good friend and a great help to Alan and I during a very difficult time. He moved in with us after Alan had a terrible accident and helped more than he could ever know. Just the kind person he was. His laugh was infectious and the stories told always brought great laughter to all around him. Not many of those stories could be told here! I will miss all the chats we have had over the years. Rest in peace Brian.

I met Brian in 1985 when I was 10 years old and he was 15. Already a black belt, Martin Martin entrusted him with the responsibility of teaching the junior class I was enrolled in and he did so with maturity, discipline, and skill beyond his years.
I got to know him even better on a personal level years later when I began dating (and then married) one of his best friends. His affable character and keen sense of humor always had me smiling or laughing after a matter of minutes of being in his presence.
He was most notably a very caring person who would do anything for his friends. When I moved to Missoula just out of high school to attend the university, he paid me a visit at my dorm room just to let me know I could call him anytime, day or night, if I ever needed anything… and there were times down the road when he proved that to be true. He will always be remembered fondly. My sympathies go out to his family and friends.

Hard to put into words, when Brian passed away I lost a piece of my husband. Brian brought out aside of Luke that no one else could do or will do. Brian brought out the best in Luke. If Brian was around, I knew it was going to be a good day. Unfortunately there isn’t another Brian in Luke’s life that will make him smile the way Brian did, never mind make Luke laugh til he cried. Words can’t express how much he will be missed by Luke and I. ❤️Amanda Kasun

I met Brian at the crime lab. He was always so funny, blunt, loyal and willing to help. He had a big heart and infectious smile, and left a mark on everyone he met. The world lost a good one too son. Rest in piece Brian. You’ll be missed but never forgotten.

I have known Brian since the 1st grade. He was one of the few people that I have kept in touch with from Greeley Elementary. We have had some great adventures and laughs through the years. I moved to Idaho in 1993 and he loved coming to visit and I would take him to local golf courses in Coeur d’Alene. I was in a car accident on Lookout Pass March 1994 in a bad snow storm and Brian drove from Missoula in the middle of the night to give me a ride from St. Regis, MT. without hesitation. Just the kind of friend he was.
He did have a unique sense of humor which made him stand out in a crowd. I always admired his passion for hunting and everything outdoors. He reached out to me a few weeks before his passing and told me to make sure to keep in touch. I know that he cherished his close friends. My sympathies and condolences to his son and family. Rest in Peace my brother.

I just returned from a vacation last night and was so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. What a shock! He was a great guy and we had a lot of interesting talks. I just had a couple of beers with him before I went on vacation. As Amanda Kasun says, Brian had a great sense of humor, albeit sometimes a different outlook, but that’s what made him the great guy he was. I’ll miss Brian. My sympathies to the family. Rest in peace!
