Beverly Jean Monroe passed away peacefully at her home on June 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born on April 25, 1938, to Henry and Emma Kuecks in Butte, Montana.
She graduated from Butte High School in 1956 and then began her working career at the Montana Standard. She had her sights set on the big city life and made the move to Seattle. This is where Bev began her career working for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company/ARCO, she was eventually promoted and transferred to their office in Los Angeles, California. Of course, Bev was “out and about” and met Wayne Monroe, the love of her life. They were married on August 5, 1973, in Butte, MT. They lived many years in Los Angeles and then moved to Arizona where they enjoyed the warm weather. However, her enjoyment of the sunny Arizona weather was cut short when they decided to move back to Butte, MT in 2005 to live closer to family. Bev was an avid traveler, golfer, bowler, and socializer. She enjoyed spending her time with friends. She had many. Bev loved her golfing gals, “Red Hat” ladies, and her California and Arizona buddies. Bev was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. She met her diagnosis head on with a positive outlook and no thought of dwelling in self-pity. The disease never seemed to slow her down, she always had the desire to “get up and go”. Bev lived her life to the fullest, she was adventurous and loved meeting new people who would become lifelong friends and supporters.
Bev is survived by her brother, Paul and Melody Kuecks; sister-in-law, Joyce Kuecks; nephews, Jeremy (Amy) Kuecks and Nathan (Danette) Kuecks; niece, Lara Murphy; and many grandnieces and nephews, and cousins.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents , Henry and Emma Kuecks; her brother, Ronald Kuecks; and her husband, of 46 years Wayne Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to the Aldersgate Methodist Church or a donation of their choice in Bev’s name.
We would like to thank all of Bev’s very good friends for supporting and loving her like family, St. James Cancer Center, and Senior Solutions for all their support and care.

I met Bev first when she and Wayne were my pts. What a couple of character’s!!! When I retired, she took me under her wings for golf. She was a great teacher, I learned a lot from her. She will be missed by so many. But she is now with Wayne and her many friends up there.
